Elastogran South Africa (Pty) Ltd is the largest polyurethane
systems house in South Africa with over 40 years of polyurethane (PU)
know-how. Second to none: the range of this dynamic market and technology
leader for specialty PU comprises nearly the entire polyurethane product
portfolio.
Elastogran is situated in Elandsfontein, Johannesburg and is recognized
as the company of choice when reliability, service and innovation is the
industry standard.

no matter which PU application is involved – Elastogran turns the
apparently impossible into an innovative reality. In close project-related
co-operation with the customer our specialist teams of chemists, physicists,
engineers and sales experts develop tailor-made, creative and economic

Elastogran develops, produces and sells:
• PU elastomers as thermoplastic specialty elastomers
• PU elastomers as cellular specialty elastomers
• PU base products, such as isocyanates, polyols, catalysts, auxillary
materials
• PU systems, divided into system groups such as rigid, flexible,
integral and compact.
Our close links with BASF (BASF – The Chemical Company), one of
the world’s leading enterprises in the chemicals business, enables
us, as part of the trans-national BASF Verbund, to access resources world-wide:
for research, raw materials supply and infrastructure.
PU SYSTEMS
Elastogran’s wide range of polyurethane systems is divided into
various groups according to their properties, such as hard, soft, integral
or compact. Market names like Elastopor®, Elastoflex®, Elastolit®,
Elastopan® and Elasturan® are just a few examples of acknowledged
Elastogran innovations and the latest Elastocoast® and Elastopave®
in the international polyurethane world. Elastopave® Elastopor®
PU ELASTOMERS
Elastogran is the market and technology leader paving the way with thermoplastic
and cellular special elastomers – both highly refined specialties.
MULTI-TALENTED ELASTOLLAN®
Elastollan® is an innovative, multi-talented material with incredible
potential. A thermoplastic PU elastomer (TPU) developed, produced and
marketed by Elastogran, it can be processed using a variety of targeted
procedures. It offers an outstanding combination of elasticity and resilience,
guaranteed over a broad temperature range. It is abrasion, impact, oil
and grease resistant, tear and buckle proof, and has an elastic memory.
It can even be modified to suit a specific application, for example by
reinforcing it with glass fibers.
Elastollan® - for every solution
CELLASTO® – COMPONENTS: ALMOST EVERY VEHICLE HAS THEM
Elastogran develop, produce and sell components made of cellular PU elastomers
under the Cellasto® brand name.
Nine out of ten car manufacturers use Cellasto® suspension systems
in their cars. As supplementary suspension, in compression buffers and
damper beds, or as a complete system, it absorbs vibrations and reduces
noise, improving driving safety and comfort. Cellasto® is regarded
as an ideal example of innovative Elastogran know-how: perfect knowledge
PU chemistry and of mixing and measuring technology, combined with top-precision
processing. It was conceived and realized in response to detailed client
requests; constructed and developed with the most up-to-date CAD and FEM
technology, based on detailed component data banks.

This includes, in particular, the protection of resources as well as prevention
